Meet the Teacher
Shannon Berardi
I have dedicated more than 35 years to working with young children and helping them build strong foundations in Literacy. I currently work as a Kindergarten Early Childhood Educator with the school board, a position I have held for the past 12 years. Earlier in my career, I served as a Literacy Specialist in both Brant and Haldimand-Norfolk counties, supporting educators and students in developing effective reading skills. I hold a degree, and diploma in Early Childhood Education and have spent my career working with children from age three and up. I founded Jump Start Literacy so children develop the strong base they need for future reading success. It is also for children who may have missed some of these foundational skills and need extra support to catch up and gain confidence.
